 I’ll never know your grief because it’s not mine to know I never knew your friend or your mom nor your dad the way you did I don’t even know myself in your eyes so that’s all your grief to bear your cross to hold

I never knew your first steps your first words your first song your first crush your first dance in your eyes so your grief is yours to bear

I’ll know only what your willing to tell so it be your best days or worst so your grief is yours to bear and mine is mine 

So cry your biggest tears lough your biggest lough I’m on your side even though I’ll never know your pain because I could never walk in your shoes but if you need me I’m all ears
